It is made out of sticks from our yard and peat moss for the trees and grass and the roof is made out of hay. The fire pit was one of my favorite touches. Everything was hand made except the horses :)

Birthday celebration...

In the month of March we have a lot of birthdays, but there are 4 in my immediate family. First with my daughter, then my brothers the next week, then mine the week after that and last but not least my nephews is in the last week. So it's pretty crazy. We decided it would be fun to all get together and celebrate all of us. It was even better b/c it was nice out. Which in the month if March here in Indiana isn't usually nice. Last year for my b-day it was 39...this year 74. Yeah that's what we have to deal with :) But it was a beautiful weekend and so far a great week. The kids had a lot of fun playing and we had a lot of fun too. And I got he best gift...a LAPTOP!! I was so excited. So now I've parked my tush on the couch and I can type and lay on the couch. This might not be good for my already over sized butt :)

6x6 Scrapbook page

Every year we get together with my husbands family for the annual family reunion. We go to a local State park called "Starved Rock". We usually go around Easter if not on Easter weekend. We rent out a large gathering room and everyone gets a room of there own and it's like a mini vacation. We look forward to it every year because you know you will get to see everyone. New babies or family that lives out of state. It's also nice to see his Nana and papa because they are getting older and spending as much time as we can with them is wonderful. He has the nicest family. And I love them all.

I didn't take much pictures last year as my camera wasn't the best. But I got a new one for Christmas and I intend on using it as much a possible this year. So here are 2 pages I did. The first one is my daughter and her friend hugging the Totem Pole and the second one is my daughter and her friend and me and my cousin in-law walking the trails. Although there where 8 of us walking I haven't gotten them in the book yet. :) I am hoping to hit alot of the trails this year if the weather isn't bad. We are going up in April on Easter weekend.going up here just screams Spring to me. We have such a blast.

My thoughts for the day...

I don't know about you but I am so sick and tired of hearing about the economy. It's all any one talks about any more. You can't watch the news without hearing it 10 times. I understand that it's bad, but it's mostly the rich who are complaining about it. If they don't get another bail out then they aren't happy. Does anyone care that this is OUR money being used to bail out all these companies, like these giant banks where the guy at top is making $500,000.00 every year. I say if they go under then let them, STOP giving them more money it's obviously not helping b/c they keep asking for more.

Here's a thought...if the government took that money...let's just say $170,000.00 and gave it to every household in America, I think the economy would fix itself, people would buy cars, and houses and go shopping at their local stores, everything would get better. But NOOOO we bail out yet another bank which is operated by some rich guy who is spending the money like it was his own. So I stand by the shirt below and would love to make them for everyone I know :)

Thanks for listening to my ranting!

Destiny's 12th Birthday party

My daughter turned 12 on March 1st. I can't believe how the time flies. We had her party at one of our local skating rinks. It was alot of fun. We had 65 people show up so it was big. She had something like 30 friends come. We rented out the rink for a private party and it was so much fun. All the kids who couldn't skate learned how to skate without other people running them over. It was alot of fun and my daughter had alot of fun. The only bad thing that really happened that night was my nephew isn't a really good skater so I said I would take him around a couple of times to get use to it and so we went around one whole time before he somehow turned himself around and went under my legs...we weren't going fast but I still fell. Not fun!

And then to top it off I was skating with my friend in picture below and she was close to me I over corrected and down I went. She crashed into the mirror laughing at me. What a great friend huh?? And I didn't feel the effects then but later that night my tush started hurting really bad I had a really hard time sitting. I think I bruised my tail bone :( Then the next day(Sat.) it hurt even more along with my muscles in my one leg on the same side as I feel and today it's feeling slightly better but I have been staying off it. Mostly lying around on my belly on the couch. Now it's starting to hurt again b/c I'm sitting here on this hard chair. So I'm gonna get off of here. Hope everyone had a great weekend!! I know we did :)
