Carving Pumpkins...

Our pumpkins...mine,hubby,&daughters
Note the pumpkin guts on my fridge...
See the pumpkin guts on my new cabinets
Blocking the incoming pumpkin guts
She just hit me in the eye with pumpkin guts...yes the EYE!

Fun with pumpkins guts...
So we had a family fun day today. We went shopping...that's always fun! Then we came home and made soup in the crock pot and we also made Lemon bars...YUM! We played pictionary for awhile and then we carved pumpkins. Well the pumpkin carving was a blast! I thought it would be so funny to throw some pumpkin guts at my hubby and my daughter thought that was the funniest thing and laughed so hard so I just chucked alittle at her. Well needless to say it turned into a full force pumpkin fight. We laughed so hard my daughter couldn't catch her breath and I had the worst stomach cramps. I just love these moments. It's what being a mom is all about. The clean up wasn't so much fun...but hey sometimes that the price you pay for having a good time. I just love Halloween. It's my favorite holiday of all! We are going to a Halloween party on the 1st and I'm dressing up so stay posted to see what me and the hubby dress up as! Hope everyone has a FUN and sfae Halloween!!

Just a hi and hello to you...

So I was busy cleaning out the garage today so I can pull the plants in and the truck once it starts snowing cuz lets face it, it will be here sooner then we think. I can't believe how fast the year is actually coming to an end. Time flies by when your having fun! Well anyways so I was organizing and putting stuff away and throwing stuff out and I came across this Halloween mask that we used for our decorations last year and I put it on to freak out the dogs and the kids of course the kids wanted to play with it. So my husband snapped a picture of me ain't I cute?? Well thanks for popping in to read my thoughts. :)

Halloween Challenge

So The challenge was to create something for Halloween! So here is my creation. I painted the sign with Craft paint then I used 2 Stampin' Up! sets, one was "Web Wishes" for the acorns on the happy part of the sign and I used "Haunting Halloween" for the stars on the Halloween part. I also used the "Web Wishes" for the two spiders on the bottom. This was alot of fun to make. Hope you enjoy! I've posted a couple of different pictures so you can see the detail.

Teacher gifts...

So I decided I would be nice and make gifts for my daughters teachers. They where so happy they told all the other teachers about it and my daughter had teachers she didn't even know asking her "how come they didn't get one?" I thought that was cute. So now I have more to make I guess. The altered jar has the teacher rub-ons from Stampin Up on them. You can't see them in the picture. They also got an altered notebook and clipboard and a candle made by me. I only got a picture of one finished but they where both alittle different. I bought large bowls to put the stuff in and the put shrink wrap around it.

My yard decorated for Halloween...

In the dark
In the day

It was so beautiful out yesterday(10/11) that we decided to decorate for Halloween. We had fun after we found everything. :) It still is missing some items but I still have time. We made all the headstones ourselves last year. They are made out of some really thin board we got at Menard's. And then I just panted them and wrote our names and family names on them.

Butterfly

So I went outside to take some pictures of our yard decorated and I spoted a butterfly instead. So of course I had to take her picture. It was funny because it's like she was posing. I love it. We have a butterfly bush you would think they would go there but no...she decided she liked my other flowers better. :)

Diaper cake for my cousin

So I decided to make a diaper cake for my cousins up coming baby shower this weekend. I have never made one before and had a really great time with it. It was fun to create. Rolling all the diapers was alittle challenging but fun.I'm always trying to come up with new ways to give gifts to people. I will be making more of these in the future. I just love the smell of those baby diapers...before they're used...LOL I hope she likes it.

A view of the lake
Another view of the lake

So we went up to Michigan to my Sister-in-laws wedding this weekend. We had a really good time. It turned out very nice. It was right off a lake and in the woods. The view of the sun setting on the lake was breath taking. To bad we didn't get any pictures of that. But I did manage to get a couple pictures of the wedding. Sorry they aren't better but they were moving so fast and my camera stinks. :)
