My favorite card this year...

So I have been so busy doing classes and coming up with ideas. But I had to stop for a sec and make this card for a friend of mine. And if you know me at all this fits me well. Hope everyone is having a great start to the new year! And maybe I can get on here more this year...one goal at a time :)
Enjoy!!

Hi

So I haven't been around in awhile. I have been one busy gal. We closed the physical store of Stamp N Scrap Ink and I am now teaching out of my home. Which I love.

The season is changing now and I don't much care for that. I really just wish I lived where the weather was always 75*. That would be so nice.

I am going to try and start posting more projects but I just have so much going on.
I did start another blog 365 cards...365 days if you want to check it out. I will be posting to that often! So please go check it out and follow to see what I come up with!

A fun weekend!

So we went to Starved Rock for our Annual Family gathering. We always have a blast!! This year was great because it was in the 70's and 80's all weekend!! It was so BEAUTIFUL!! I have a couple of pictures posted of the fun adventures :)

Laying on the ground looking up the wall.
Got myself a little dizzy from being upside down :)
But I think it's a cool pick!

Having fun in the town playing at one of their parks!

Down by the Kankakee River. It was low this year.
Which was cool to go so close to it.

Hiking on one of the trails

If you look closely you can see the frog hiding!!
If you don't know already, I LOVE frogs!!
This was just in a little river running by the trail.
So of course I had to stop to check it out :)

just a quick update...

So after Christmas was finally over we got a new little welcome to our family. My brother had his first baby, Julian! He is just the cutest thing ever!!

This is him not even 4 hours old

Another of the him with his whole body

Me and him! Happy Aunt :)

Destiny and him. Happy cousin! :)

Then February was a very SNOWY month!! I have to tell you I am not a fan of snow and ask myself every winter why I live in the midwest. I love the seasons changing and think I would miss it but I hate the snow! So with that said we got a little over 2 feet of snow :( I do have to admit that it was fun to play in for about 20 minutes. It was not fun to shovel. So here are some pictures to prove I went out there for a little while!!

Destiny, me and our dog Porter.
He loves the snow!!

Me again with the dogs. I feel in a hole we have dug for a future
addition to our pond. Big surprise for me.
Dogs wouldn't stay off of me long enough to get up.
I had fun though!!

Porter checking things out!

The dogs running and playing in it. They just loved it!

The first time we opened the door that morning.
Our other dogs wouldn't even go out there at first :)

So here was my January and February all wrapped up in one.
Fun and crazy at the same time!!
Now it's March and I am ready for some WARM weather.
Thanks for reading!!

Fight like a girl...

Dear All:

Below is a link to Pepsi’s page wherein they are going to award a grant of $250 Thousand to a “great idea.” Kym Rock is presently in the running with her new program entitled “Fight Like a Girl.” The program is meant to educate and teach women how to defend themselves… which I believe is indeed a “great idea.”

All Kim NEEDS is your vote on Pepsi’s page: There is a video about her project and goals; if you think the idea is worthwhile, please click on the vote and register with Pepsi to vote for Kym’s idea. FYI: I don’t recommend giving them all your personal information as requested on their registration… I NEVER GIVE OUT MY REAL BIRTHDATE!! (AND FRANKLY, it should not be in their request!!—I have no knowledge of what they do with their collected information.)

At any rate, any one who could vote for Kym’s project would assist her in receiving this grant. She needs to move up 6 places a day to win…. So if you can vote and forward on to another “girl” who could vote, that would really help!!

Lookie, lookie what I got

So I got the biggest surprise on my front door. I came home last weekend and opened my front to find this, what I thought was a suit case at first but with further inspection it turned out to be a Fiskars scrapbook case with a note. One of my friends got it from someone who picked it up at a garage sale and she didn't want it so she brought it over to me. I am sooooooo HAPPY about getting it b/c I have always wanted one and couldn't buy one. So a HUGE THANK YOU to Lucy!! You ROCK!!

It even came packed with some goodies. And it has the two inserts for scrapbook paper and a file folder.
