Starved Rock...

So every year we go to Starved Rock lodge 

to have a family reunion with my husbands family...we see each other about 50 times a 

year but it's a very fun thing to do! I look forward to it every year...our mini vaca...

Now that Spring has arrived I am super happy! One of my favorite 

seasons because I just love all the new life popping out of the ground. And it's time to open the 

pond and let the waterfall take me to my happy place :)

The month of March

So this winter has been relentless! Won't go away, won't let up. 

I know I live in the midwest but this has been a little to much! 

So here are some of the pictures I've taken over the past month...

My dog loves the snow! Like truly loves to just run and pounce around like a puppy...which he is not :)

This is one of the 75 dead fish we pulled from our pond this Spring. Very sad day in the Altman house!

Life is finally appearing! Daffodils that are about 35 years old! Come up in Feb usually but it was too cold this year!

Magnolia tree and its little flower pods...I always love when they start to open...of course it was the end of April before that happened this year! But worth the wait :)

My bday celebration...

A birthday Celebration for me! 

I didn't turn "63" I am actually 36 but my friends think 

they are funny! 

We have a lot of fun getting together, eating tamales, and 

drinking wine! I look forward to all our get togethers in my favorite place...
