Artful Legacy design team card #1

This is my very first card I did for Artful Legacy. I used the sets baby fish, Hot lips, and One fish...two fish. I used the gel (water) card technique, you can find it on Splitcoast stampers. I just love using this technique! I stamped my image on white cardstock and colored it, then I added the gel filled baggie in front of it and adhered it to the cardstock with the window. Then I colored the baby fish and added him to the front. I used a glitter pen to color his fins to make the shine like fins do :)

I chose to do this card first because it reminds me of summer and my pond in the back yard. I love all things pond :) It is helping to boost the energy of knowing that I will be able to finish it as soon as the weather breaks. And I am really looking forward to that!!

Thanks for taking your time to take a peek. Please stay posted as I will post a new card every week. Also please go check out Artful Legacy's blog to see more of the other talented ladies creations every week. Have a great week!! You can find all kinds of fun stamps on their web-site too.

Design Team Search for Artful Legacy Rubber Stamping & More!

This is my submission to be on the design team at Artful Legacy Rubber Stamps. These are the cards that I sent to them to review :) This will be my very first attempt to be a designer. Hope it's good enough. I'm totally sure what I am supposed to do.

Some info about myself...
I am married to a wonderful supportive man who is my best friend. I have one daughter about to turn 13. I got into paper crafting about 5 years ago and love it!! I am in the process of opening a stamp store in my town and I am very excited about it. I love doing making things for people and I love to show others how to do it. Nothing says "I care" like something hand made.
Here is the link to their site...http://www.artfullegacy.com/

Wish me luck!!

What I did with the SU! CD tins

I seen this awesome idea on someones blog...I wish I knew who so I could give them props...So I made it my own. I made a calender in Microsoft word to fit inside the tin added a post it note and a mini pen. I love them. They are so fun to make and I have 30 of tins just sitting here waiting to be decorated. A fun little gift to give someone.

Another Diaper cake

This is a diaper cake I did for my cousin-in laws girlfriend. She is doing the nursery in Jungle theme. So I added some animals to it. It's simple but I love the way it turned out.

Uncluttered craft room

I got a chance this weekend to unclutter my craft room this weekend! Boy does it feel good to have that done. :) It was jammed pack full of stuff still from Christmas. Plus I got our old TV from the basement (since we got a new one for down there) so my hubby hung it for me while I cleaned out the clutter! Now I got a special place for my laptop too. Now my room looks so much bigger and feels way more open. Now to start creating!

Christmas tree and a new hair style

So we put up our Christmas tree Friday. It was a lot of fun! I love decorating for Christmas. I know soon it will be time to spend time with my family, which I am very grateful for! We got our new carpet in on Thursday and that was great b/c I didn't have to put the tree up with the ugly blue carpet :)

Also I decided to get a new hair cut...which if you know me that it a huge deal...b/c I still had my hair style from 1990 :) I just really love my hair and had a very bad experience with someone chopping it all off when I was younger. So I included a couple of pictures of my new hair too :) I have bangs now...and that has gotten some time to get use to. The one I love of me with my fist b/c my hubby was taking one picture after another of me and wouldn't stop. He was driving me crazy. So I gave him the fist. He said he is going to blow it up, put it by the back door and put a caption saying "Take your shoes off" Can you tell I say that to him a lot?? LOL

Halloween night

Here is my lovely daughter in her costume. She was supposed to be a Blue Dragonfly...whatever that is...so JP went to JoAnn's and got this fleece fabric and we made a shawl for her. I decorated it with Little Felt Flurries from Stampin' Up!. I sewed the wings on the back of it, it turned out really cute. So we decided we would call her "A snow fairy". As long as she doesn't bring the snow everything will be good! :) But she is at the age where she doesn't want to be trick or treating with her mom, she wants her friends :) So I made her go with me for 45 minutes and then I drove her to where her friends where trick or treating and another mom took over :)

Well I hope everyone had a great Halloween. Now time to get ready for THANKSGIVING!! Yummy FOOD!!

My naughty little elf :)

This is a card I did for my Naughty swap. I just love the Santa pooping in the chimney. I think I know alot of people this year that might have this happen :) Just thought I would share!! I love this elf. And yes, it's Halloween and I am posting Christmas cards LOL
